Day 11: Snap a family photo

The Kennedys in 1948

How long has it been since you had a family picture taken?

For us, it’s been way too long.

In fact, I think the last time we had a portrait taken, our boys were four, maybe five.

Has it really been that long?

Kids change so fast in those early years. Sure we have lots and lots of pictures, but not of the four of us together.

Time to remedy that.

What I love most about the photo above is that they all seem to be so relaxed and happy together. Who knows? It may have even been taken at the spur of the moment. I can imagine one of them saying, “Hey, we’re all together, we should get a picture!”

What’s that you say? Money is tight?

No problem. Set up a tripod, if you have one – you can laugh at the outtakes later;) Or, ask a friend who owns a fancy-looking camera if he or she would be willing to snap a few photos.

Either way, see if you can get a good family picture taken soon.

If it turns out well, you can always use it for your Christmas cards. (Yes, Christmas is only 10 weeks away…but that is another series!)
