Give ’em the slip

Do you remember when I tried to make my own slipcovers and it turned out to be a big disaster?

Imagine my delight when a little cardboard box from overstock.com landed at my door.

A quick spin in the washer and dryer, plus about 20 minutes for stuffing and smoothing and she went from this:

To this:

A freshened up look for summer.

And just so her fraternal twin sister, aka the green loveseat, doesn’t feel left out…she got a makeover, too.

Our formal living room now looks a lot less, well formal. I’m digging the casual look and feel for summer and am loving how easy it is to throw the slipcovers in the wash when they need it.

How about you? How do you feel about slipcovers? especially light-colored ones?
