Ruffles, Ruffles Everywhere

I tried my hand at making a ruffled t-shirt a while back, but it didn’t turn out very well. I couldn’t bear to throw away something perfectly useful, though ugly, so now I sleep in it (my poor husband). Eventually, I’ll get up the courage to try again. (Remember I’m a recovering perfectionist).

In the meantime, I thought I would try my hand at making a ruffled pillow instead. All I did was follow a great tutorial I found online.

Since I used a pillow I already had, I made the ruffles with my machine and attached them by hand. I love how it turned out and it was really easy to do.

I’ve seen a lot of similar pillows in catalogs and online shops selling for a small fortune. This is one project you can make even if you’ve never made a pillow before.

Just don’t give up if you don’t do it perfectly the first time:)
